Phillies Feaver

It is easy to be in the city right now. The city is alive with excitement and enthusiasm over the Philadelphia Phillie's Divisional Championship and it is almost electrified with the anticipation of the first playoff game. Yesterday they had a rally at City Hall and we could see and hear the rally going on from our office which, by the way, is that building in the left backgroud -- the Suburban Station building. A few people from the office went over for the rally -- I just watched people like ants head over to the rally and then file out away from the rally.

I frequently sit in "Love Park" during my lunch hour to read and/or people watch. Lately, most of the people milling about have on Phillies T-shirts and yesterday they were walking around with foam fingers on waving the "rally towels". Who knows, perhaps this Philadelphia pride will help curb the murder rate for a few weeks :)
